PIPING

SINGLE ROULEAUX LOOP
How to create a really slim rouleaux loop is the focus here. It is made just like piping, the difference is the right sides facing the inside when sewn together. I have used a standard zipper foot to create the loop.

ADDING PIPING TO A SLEEVE
A delicate piped edge on my Paris Bolero sets a beautiful accent here. I am using a piping sewing machine foot to apply the piping on my Pfaff machine.

PIPING A SLEEVE CUFF
The piped edge on the western blouse actually makes it not just pretty but also durable. I have used the cuff in a range of patterns and adding piping just makes it perfect.

PIPING A YOKE
Using piping on a western yoke is particularly good because the seam is on the bias and easily stretches. Once the piping is in, this will keep its shape forever. Here I used store bought piping.

PIPING A PLACKET
Piping a placket is pretty simple because the length is on the straight grain! The piping is only on the inner edge of the placket. Done on both sides of the front blouse, it gives the appearance of piping on either side.
