The asymmetrical collar with a feature button added vintage charm to this Vivienne dress. I am turning a standard flat collar (Peter Pan) into this little beauty with a rounded overlap.

The round collar is a really tricky thing to get right. And this method works around all that, giving you a clean finish, even a beginner can handle. And the bonus is that it actually looks absolutely adorable.

A shirt collar with stand consists of two distinct components working together to create a polished, structured neckline. The collar stand is the narrow strip of fabric that encircles the neck, while the collar itself extends outward from this band.

Adding a facing to a collar is a great way to create a clean look. Often used with blouses with sleeves, where a deep facing wouldn't work. When you create a very slim facing, it will look like binding, often seen in polo shirts.
