You can choose to add the applique pockets or leave them off depending on your skill level. For your Mimi pinafore dress pattern you will need:  Max 1.5m Medium to heavier weight fabrics, plain weave cotton, cotton sateen, cord, chambray or denim, double knit with low stretch.
