The Betsy Doll Skirt Sewing Pattern was designed with the 70 and ’80s in mind. When I was a little girl I loved those skirts and I remember my mother telling me that I wasn’t wearing ‘that’ skirt again because “It’s in the wash!”

To me, the button-down design is just perfect for the summer. This doll’s version does come with a girl’s version, too. So once you are confident and have made the doll’s version, you can step it up and make a girl’s version. It’s almost the same method and the FREE video tutorial makes sewing a pleasure. The skirt has an optional hem trim, perfect for embellishment and embroidery. The front has a button placket that overlaps and can be sewn in a contrast fabric, too.

This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18″ dolls (46-50cm). If you are in any doubt that your doll will fit this dress, these measurements will help.

Chest: 28 cm / 11 inches
Waist: 27 cm / 10.6 inches
Front length (shoulder to waist): 10 cm / 4 inches

Recommended Fabrics:
