The Princess Dress PDF Sewing Pattern inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast can be used as a fancy dress for that special party, or as a flower girl pattern too. Don’t be intimidated if you don’t have much experience, although it looks professional, it is easier to do than you might expect.

You can make the Princess Dress with a knit back or a zip. This Princess Dress can be used for a wide variety of princess costumes. Just check out our customer gallery below. My favourite part of Princess Dress is the sleeves. I made them with a tulle overlay which makes them look so delicate. A heart embellishment sewn to the edge finished off the look. This is one of our most beloved patterns that you will adore too.

Fabric:
For the bodice: If you are doing a knit back choose a fabric with excellent stretch recovery. Try to get a woven fabric with a little Elastane or Lycra for extra comfort. Belle Panel Skirt: Use a polyester satin to avoid creases! Belle Gathered Skirt: Taffeta, Cotton, Dupion Silk (anything goes!)

    I have made two dresses using this pattern: a Belle dress and a Cinderella dress. I cannot say enough good things about the pattern and tutorial. The finishings are professional and the instruction is magnificent. I have purchased other patterns online and all of the ones I have purchased from frocks and frolics are far superior to those. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

    "The pattern is designed perfectly for all sewing levels. I have purchased three other princess patterns in the past and this pattern tops all of it. Not only is the dress beautiful, it is also very easy to sew. You can't go wrong sewing this dress. The pattern comes with written instructions and colored pictures. The best part is the video on YouTube. I was watching the video as I was sewing the dress; felt like I was in a sewing class. Made my daughter an everyday Belle dress and she loved it. Another pattern to purchase is the Vivienne dress. I am very happy with this pattern."
