When planning your back to school sewing, versatile patterns are a must. Issariya Scott has been sewing her school clothes for the lovely Charlize for years. Sometimes you need to think a little out of the box and think of your patterns as truly blank slates. Which is practical, washes well and will be loved by your girl? That is what you want!
The Jutta skirt has always been my personal favourite skirt. Its quickly sewn up , looks great and isn’t too fancy for every day wear. let’s face it a lot of our patterns really are way to frilly and fancy to be used for school dresses! Issariya teamed it up with our western blouse. She loves that blouse and I am desperate to add to the size range as soon as I have time. You can find all the videos in the academy, when you purchased the pattern. But if you need to go binge watch the videos just to make sure its what you want then visit the playlist on YouTube for the Jutta skirt and the western blouse.
Dress it down for everyday school wear. The pattern comes with a full set of tutorial videos making it a great option for beginner sewers too.
Here she used our wonderful Vivienne dress, beautifully modelled by Magdalena. Its usually a full on extravaganza, but it doesn’t have to be. The pleated skirt option is ideal for school and Issariya made sure it would fit for quite a while, adding extra length. As always its teamed up with the western blouse. I would love to see your back to school makes and comments which one of my patterns you use most for back to school sewing.
