Description:

The lovely Natalie is an advanced beginner project and you will learn to add so many gorgeous details it will be hard to stop at sewing just the one. Like most Frocks & Frolics pattern you are getting a range of video instructions keeping you covered whether you are adding flutter straps or bound shoulder straps.

The instructions have been given a revamp and feature now 28 pages of detailed charts, photo instructions and diagrams. If you are serious about learning professional techniques this e-book is a fantastic start. It's much more than simple a single instructions. It details a wide variety of methods to make this dress a truly unique creation.

If you have no serger at home the polka dot dress shows you an awesome technique to hide all those seams and finish the dress off beautifully. Most dresses I worked with French seams so you can follow suit. Naturally to make things faster you can just serge quickly.

One of my favorite technique is creating the illusion of a petticoat. With the lace peeping out from under the skirt it looks like you added a petticoat when actually you haven’t. Check out that simple trick in the videos below.

As fastening I used the snap poppers. They are fab and so colorful and best of all way easier to do than button holes.

You also get two sash patterns, one slim one and one wide, the sash pattern is also free to download from the project page.

Whether you are an expert or just starting out the video tutorial will make it very clear what you have to do. If you are unsure if you can handle this pattern then simply watch the video to reassure yourself before you purchase the pattern.

DIGITAL PATTERN

You’ll receive an email immediately after purchase with a link to download PDF files of the pattern and instructions, which you can print at home on either A4 or US Letter paper. When choosing the pattern make sure you tick which format you need. In the US and Canada choose US letter size which is wider and shorter than A4 paper. Everywhere else opt for A4 paper format.

This is a great pattern. Very well drafted with instructions that skies so many different techniques. A beginner could easily make this, the video tutorials truly make this "dummy proof". I have made at least 5 of these and each one with different details. Marina thinks of all the little details to make all of her patterns user friendly and easy to follow. There is awesome support in the Facebook group. Marina is also very receptive and donate to our feedback.

Finished making four dresses.. They we're so easy that I'm thinking about maybe setting up a class here in Sun City West, AZ If one would follow the tutorial for each variation they would learn so.o.o.o many tricks and techniques that would carry over into all your sewing. Would highly recommend for every skill level.

This dress is so cute and a dream to sew up. Have four done and trying to get the fifth one. Promised my grand-daughter to make them for her before she leaves for vacation. Hope I can get her to hold still long enough to take her pic. She's three. Will send. Everyone should make all of them and follow your videos. The techniques you show are very much appreciated as a review for even us experienced sewers.
