It's as beautiful as it is versatile and perfect for all seasons, it will take your little girl from autumn to spring, keeping her fashionably dressed and warm.
The cardigan is part of the Winter Wonderland Collection. It’s also the perfect addition to any dress for this Christmas season. It’s a true beginner’s item with only 4 pattern pieces and instructions that help you step by step. Whether you prefer diagrams, video or photo instructions, we got you covered.
The cardigan is designed to finish at the waist. Wear it dressed up with a dress or just jeans. Our models were very excited about this cardigan and did not want to part with it.
The hood can be made as a single layer and adorned with soft roses. It will surely be a hit with any girl from 2-12! Alternatively you can line the hood with fleece or fake fur. I have done both and love them equally.
Although I designed it all in cream for this winter season, you can make it in any color and combination. The sleeves have to be in two way stretch for comfort, the rest can be made in sweat fabric, heavy jersey and even wool's and other woven fabrics.
You’ll receive an email immediately after purchase with a link to download PDF files of the pattern and instructions, which you can print at home on either A4 or US Letter paper. When choosing the pattern make sure you tick which format you need. In the US and Canada choose US letter size which is wider and shorter than A4 paper. Everywhere else opt for A4 paper format.
Dense sweatshirt-or wool knit fabrics for the front and back, a four way stretch knit for the sleeves. You can also line the hood in a lightweight knit fabric.
- Fabric – depending on the size you will need a little bit more or less. At age 5 you need 50 cm of sweat shirt knit with slight stretch or a thick wool knit. For the sleeves you need the sleeve length once for a 5 year old that is also 50 cm. You will have a lot left. At 1.5 m wide you can make 2 cardigans.
