Description:

OurOscar shorts, named after my grandfather,is the best fitting pair of boy’s shorts you will ever buy. They have a comfortable waistband and a pull string with eyelets so you can pull them tighter if you need too. Mainly though the eyelets are there because they are very cool!

With a little help from our digital PDF sewing pattern with easy to follow step-by-step video and photo tutorials you be sure to make quite a few of these awesome stunners.

The shorts have a faux zipper flap and an elasticated waist which makes this a quick afternoon project. There are a few new tricks to sewing this one, making it look totally professional. Once you have made one you will be running them up all the time. Best of all it only takes just over half a yard of fabric to make one of these.

The back pockets are oversized and just beg for a name embroidery or favorite badge, I didn't do this for the sample but it would be great. Can't wait to see what you come up with for this one.

As fabric I would definitely go for cotton or linen. The twill fabrics are particularly good because they crease less and are more durable.  A lighter jeans fabrics would work too.

DIGITAL PATTERN

You’ll receive an email immediately after purchase with a link to download PDF files of the pattern and instructions, which you can print at home on either A4 or US Letter paper. When choosing the pattern make sure you tick which format you need. In the US and Canada choose US letter size which is wider and shorter than A4 paper. Everywhere else opt for A4 paper format.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS

As fabric I would definitely go for cotton or linen. Twill fabrics are particularly good because they crease less and are more durable.  A lighter jeans fabrics would work too. For the summer go for some funky prints in plain woven cotton with a bit of stretch for comfort.

Can't say enough good things about this pattern the only toddler shorts pattern I have made that don't look like pyjamas. The one piece side pocket design is so much easier than normal patterns. I really like how you demonstrate all of the steps so well in your videos. The top stitching makes the shorts look fantastic. Many Thanks Eileen
